In some parts of North America, they have started ‘urban farming’ – but this is not ‘urban farming’ – rather the reverse of it. It’s Tigrean Neftegna’s encroachment on Oromo land in the name of “urbanization,” thereby the farmer is displaced, evicted and dispossessed – and driven out of their homeland into a life of national slavery. What a better way to steal the land! — By simply “putting a building on it,” the deed of the land (the ownership of the land) transfers from the Oromo poor farmer to the rich Tigrean Neftegna “real estate developer.” The loss is not just the land, but also the Oromo farmer as a human being, the Oromo language and the Oromo culture. Note that the building doesn’t even have to meet building codes and standards – they just put a building on the farm in haste, and from there on, it’s Tigrean “investment.” Tigrean Neftegnagrows at 11%, and the Oromo & Oromia grow to Zero%. This must be stopped.
