
The Qeerroo Business Boycott is Upgraded into an Overall Uprising to End Tyranny

Until it has fallen under the colony of the Ethiopian empire, the Oromo people had a glorious history. Since the colonization, the Oromo people have suffered from various forms of oppression and exploitation by the successive Ethiopian regimes. Now the Oromo people have said enough to the tyranny and took their frustration to the street in unison.
We, the Oromo youth movement (aka ‘Qeerroo Bilisumma Oromo’), have held a leadership meeting to celebrate the new year 2018 and the commemoration of Oromo liberation army (OLA) day. During our meeting, we have discussed various issues and strategies and planned the next steps of our struggle. As can be recalled from our press, released on January 1, 2018, we have declared our plans. Among the plans was to continue the movement until all the questions of the Oromo people are being answered and the quest of the Oromo people for freedom is achieved. In addition, we have also declared that all Oromo business men and women, farmers, students and the Oromo people as a whole should stand up in unity against the Ethiopian government and implement our plans to bring an end to the tyranny.
