Five members of the police force have been attacked by the residents of the Limmuu woreda, after the police force tried to search in to the households of the community members, reliable sources reported. As a matter of trend ‘search operations’ are followed by allegation of illegal possession of arms, connection to OLF and court display which results in baseless judgment.
After years of desperation, the Oromo people looks determined to defend its private integrity and against orchestrated criminalization of innocent individuals.
Accordingly two members of the security team, Ittafaa Galataa fi Abdiisaa Gammadaa were beaten, while four other police officers were reported to have sustained injury in the violent confrontation between the two groups.
Eye witnesses have also reported that OLF (Oromo Liberation Front) flag decorated in and around the area gave a moral boost including in Haro Limmu Primary School, Suge Primary School and Haro Limmu Secondary School for the whole day. What is more, in Ibantuu woreda, in areas known as Qeelloo fi Haqaroo OLF flag have been hanged from mid day to the late evening.
It is reported that these areas are increasingly falling under the influence of the community and the local community are organizing and defending themselves in a bid to survive under the brutal dictatorship that rules the country.
