Hillary Clinton‘s senior adviser for innovation at the US state department has lauded the way the internet has become “the Che Guevara of the 21st century” in the Arab Spring uprisings.

Speaking at the Guardian’s Activate summit in London on Wednesday, Alec Ross said “dictatorships are now more vulnerable than ever” as disaffected citizens organise influential protest movements on Facebook and Twitter.

The US has pledged to back the pro-democracy movements that have swept the Middle East and north Africa since January. Ross welcomed the “redistribution of power” from autocratic regimes to individuals, describing the internet as “wildly disruptive” during the protests in Egypt and Tunisia.

“Dictatorships are now more vulnerable than they have ever been before, in part – but not entirely – because of the devolution of power from the nation state to the individual,” he said.

“One thesis statement I want to emphasise is how networks disrupt the exercise of power. They devolve power from the nation state – from governments and large institutions – to individuals and small institutions. The overarching pattern is the redistribution of power from governments and large institutions to people and small institutions.”

Ross said that the internet had “acted as an accelerant” in the Arab spring uprisings, pointing to the dislodging of former Tunisian president Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali in little over a month. The internet had facilitated leaderless movements, Ross added, describing it as the “Che Guevara of the 21st century”.

However, he said it was a “bridge too far” to describe the Egyptian uprising as a “Facebook revolution”.

Ross added: “If hierarchies are being levelled then people at the top of those hierarchies are finding themselves on much shakier ground. What’s remarkable is the speed, this is lightning fast change taking place and I’ve got to be honest, I think this is fun. It’s going to be wildly disruptive in the next few years and net-net I think this is a good thing.”

US president Barack Obama, whose 2008 election campaign Ross helped co-ordinate, threw US support behind the pro-democracy movements in a landmark speech in May. “The status quo is not sustainable,” he said, describing the movements as a “historic opportunity”.

Ory Okolloh, the manager of government policy and relations at Google Africa, speaking in the Guardian Activate session, said: “A lot of these uprisings underline that young people not only frustrated – they’ve been frustrate for a long time – but the internet brings you closer to what your life could be and should be like.

“We have this revolution, but what happens after the revolution? Technology cannot answer that question: it won’t give you jobs or financing, and won’t help rebuild the economy. If we get too caught up in the role of technology we will be missing a huge opportunity.”

በሽብርተኝነት የተፈረጁት የኦሮሞ ነጻነት ግንባርና የኦጋዴን ብሄራዊ ነጻነት ግንባር የተከሰሱት፤ መለስ ዜናዊ እራሱ የሚመራው ህዝባዊ ወያኔ ሃሪነት ትግራይ በአማርኛ አጠራሩ የትግራይ ነጻ አውጪ ግንባር በ17 አመት ጸረ ደርግ የትጥቅ ትግል ወቅት በተጠቀመባቸው የትግል ስልቶች በመጠቀማቸው እንደሆነ የውሳኔ ሰነድ ይፋ አድርገዋል።

በሽብርተኝነት ከተፈረጁት 5 ድርጅቶች አንዱ፣ኦነግ ነው ፡፡ እንደ ኢሕአዴግ ወያኔ ፓርላማ ከሆነ፣ ከ1987 እስከ 2ዐዐዐ ዓ.ም ድረስ 1ዐ6 የሽብር ጥቃቶችን ፈፅሞ፣ 56 ዜጎች ሞተዋል፡፡ 284 ደግሞ ከባድና ቀላል የአካል ጉዳት ደርሶባቸዋል፡፡ ከ2ዐዐዐ በኋላ ስላለው ጊዜ ምንም የተባለ ነገር የለም፡፡

ኦነግ የተቋቋመው በ1967 ዓ.ም ነበር፡፡ ዘንድሮ 36 ዓመታትን አስቆጠሯል፡፡ 17ቱ በደርግ ዘመን ጦርነት ላይ ነበር፡፡ በብርጌድ ደረጃ እስከመዋጋት ደርሶ ነበር፡፡ አንድም ጊዜ ግን፣ ከተማ ውስጥ ፈንጂ በማፈንዳት ተወንጅሎም ታምቶም አያውቅም፡፡

አሸባሪ ብሎ ድርጅቶችን መሰየም ውድቀታቸው የተቃረበ አምባገነኖች የመጨረሻ ቀናቸው ሲደርስ ባለፉት ሁለትና ሶስት ወራት እንዳየነውና እንደሰማነው ተቃዋሚዎቻቸውን ወይንም ዴሞክራሲያዊ ስርአትን ለሚፈልጉ የለውጥ አራማጆች በሙሉ የሚሰጡት ተቀጽላ መሆኑን ዓለም ያወቀው ጉዳይ ነው:: ሙባረክ ተቃዋሚዎቹን አሸባሪ ሲል ነበር፣ ጋዳፊ ገና ህዝቡ ሰልፍ ሲወጣ ይህን እያደረገ ያለው አልቃይዳ ነው፣ ድረሱልኝ እያለ ይጮህ ነበር፣ የመን ላይም የሚታየው ተመሳሳይ ሁኔታ ነው::

ኦነግን ያገለለ የተሟላ ዲሞክራሲያዊ ስርዓት ሊኖር አይችልም፡፡ የኦነግን ችግር መፍታት የሚቻለው በፖለቲካ ነው፡፡ ለፖሊስም ሆነ ለሠራዊቱ የሚተው አይደለም፡፡ በሽብርተኝነት በመፈረጅ በሚሊዮኖች እንደሚቆጠሩ ከሚገመቱት ደጋፊዎቹ ልብ ውስጥ ፈንቅሎ ማውጣት አይቻልም፡፡ ትርፉ፣ በሰላማዊው በር ላይ በርን መዝጋት ብቻ ነው የሚሆነው፡፡

ከኦነግ ሌላ፣ በሽብርተኝነት የተፈረጀው ኦጋዴን ብሄራዊ ነጻነት ግንባር ኦብነግንም በአዋጅ ማጥፋት አይቻልም፡፡ እዚህም ያለው የፖለቲካ ችግር ነው፡፡ መፍትሄውም ፖለቲካዊ ብቻ ነው፡፡ ፍረጃው ሀገሪቷን ወደዚያ አያቀርባትም፡፡ ደርግ፣ በኤርትራ የሰራውን ስህተት ኢሕአዴግ በኦጋዴን ሊደግመው አይገባም፡፡ የኢትዮጵያ አንድነት ታላቁ ፈተና በኢትዮጵያ ሱማሌ ክልል ውስጥ ተቀብሮ ይገኛል፡፡ መፍትሔው፣ ጥበብን፣ ብልሃትን፣ ብስለትን ይጠይቃል፡፡ ኃይል ቦታ የለውም፡፡ በኤርትራ ተረጋግጧል፡፡

የፈደራል ጉዳዮች ሚንስቴርና የመለስ ዜናዊ አማካሪ የሆነው አባጸሃይ ከወራት በፊት ከኦጋዴን ብሄራዊ ነጻነት ግንባር ጋር የሰላምና የእርቅ ስምምነት ተፈርሞአል ፤ በዚህም ምክንያት ከአሁን ቦኋላ ኦብነግ የሚባል ድርጅት የለም በማለት ለህዝብ ተወካዮች ተብዬው ምክር ቤት ሪፖርት አቀርቦ እንዳልተጨበጨበ በራሳቸው አንደበት ገድለው የቀበሩትን ድርጅት ከመቃብር አስነስተው ” ለብሄራዊ ጸጥታ አስጊ በመሆኑ በሽብርተኝነት ፈርጀነዋል ” ማለታቸው አገራችን በምን አይነት ሂሊና ብሶች ስብስብ እየተመራች እንደሆነ ሌላ ተጨማሪ ማስረጃ ሆኖአል።

የወያኔ የህዝብ ተወካዮች አጸደቁት በተባለው ድርጅቶቹን በሽብርተኝነት የፈረጀ ሰነድ ላይ “ግንቦት 7 በቀድሞ የቅንጅት ነውጠኛ አመራሮች የተቋቋመ ድርጅት ነው” ካለ ቦኋላ “እነኚህ አመራሮች ህገ መንግስታዊ ሥርዓቱን በኃይል ለመናድ መሞከራቸው በፍ/ቤት ተረጋግጦና አምነው በድርጊታቸው ተጸጽተው ከእንግዲህ ወዲያ ህገ መንግስቱን እንደሚያከብሩና እንደሚያስከበሩ ቃል ገብተው ይቅርታ ይደረግላቸው ዘንድ መንግስትና ህዝብ በይፋ በመጠየቃቸው ይቅርታ ተደርጎላቸው ከእስር እንዲፈቱ መደረጉ ይታወቃል፡፡ ሆኖም በይቅርታ ከእስር ከተፈቱ በኃላ ህገ መንግስታዊ ሥርዓቱን በማናቸውም መንገድ ለማፍረስ አቅዶ የሚንቀሳቀስ ግንቦት 7 የሚል ቡድን ወይም ድርጅት አቋቋሙ፡፡ ብሎአል።

በመቀጠልም “ድርጅቱ ዓላማዬ ብሎ በይፋ ያወጀው ” ሁሉን አቀፍ ትግል ” በመጠቀም አሁን ያለውን መንግስታዊ ሥርዓት ማፍረስ ሲሆን በተለይ ደግሞ በከተሞች አካባቢ በመሰረተ ልማት ተቋማት ፣ በከፍተኛ የመንግስት ባለስልጣናት ላይ ሽብርና ግድያ መፈጸም እንዲሁም የከተማ አመጽ ማቀጣጠል የትጥቅ ትግል ማካሄድ እና ከማናቸውም ጸረ ኢትዮጵያ መንግስት አቋም ካላቸው ድርጅቶችና ሀገሮች ጋር በጋራ መስራት ነው”፡ በማለት የግንቦት7 መፈጠር ያሳደረበትን ስጋትና ጭንቀት ገልጾአል፡፡

እነ ዶ/ር ብርሃኑን የኢሕአዴግ መሪዎች በደንብ ያውቋቸዋል፡፡ በየቡናቤቱ ፈንጂ ያጠምዳሉ ብለው እንደማይጠረጥሯቸው መገመት አያስቸግርም፡፡ በምዕራብ ሀገራት ለረዥም ግዜ የኖሩት የግንቦት 7 መሪዎች፣ ለሰብአዊ መብት ደንታ የሌላቸው ሽብርተኞች ሆነው መቀመጣቸው ተዓማኒነቱ እምብዛም ነው፡፡ ከዚያ ይልቅ፣ እውነታው ያለው እነዚህ ሰዎች ወደ ሀገራቸው ተመልሰው የፖለቲካው አካል መሆን ለእውነተኛ ዲሞክራሲያዊ ስርዓት እውን መሆን አስፈላጊ መሆኑ ላይ ነው፡፡ የኢሕአዴግ መሪዎች፣ እየመረራቸውም ቢሆን ከዚህ እውነታ ጋር የመጋፈጥ ኃላፊነት አለባቸው፡፡ አሁን የተያዘው መንገድ አያዋጣም፣ አያዛልቅም፡፡

የኢሕአዴግ መሪዎች ሆይ! ፖሊስና ወታደር የፖለቲካ ችግር ፈቺዎች አይደሉም፡፡ የሀገሪቱን የዲሞክራሲ ፈተና የእነሱ ዕዳ አድርጎ ማስቀመጥ ከደርግ ስህተት አለመማር ነው፡፡ ችግሩን ከምንጩ ማድረቅ ያስፈልጋል፡፡ ምንጩ ደግሞ ፖለቲካ ነው፡፡ ውንጀላውን ትታችሁ ተደራደሩ፡፡ ለሀገር የሚበጀው ብቸኛው መንገድ ድርድርና እርቅ ነውና፡፡

At the Ethiopian Premier League Championship tournament held in Hawaasa town where the popular St. George club played, the Qeerroo pamphlets where distributed at the scene in huge numbers and the town was swamped by protests.

Shocked by numbers of the pamphlets that has a call from the National Youth Movement for Freedom and Democracy of Qeerroo on it, the TPLF police armed in full have created the atmosphere of insecurity in and around the scene of the tournament and in the town of Hawaasa. Taken by disbelief with the number of the pamphlets distributed and   after losing any clue as to who distributed it; they started to search the people on the street. What is more, they also blamed the fans of St. George club, who come from the capital Finfinne (Addis Ababa) and they started to arrest them.

Angered by this irresponsible actions of the police, the fans and the people engaged in a serious of stone fighting with the police, until the huge number of police arrived at the scene was forced to flee. Until the people gathered started to disperse the popular Qeerroo movement activists where seen protesting with different slogans.  Accordingly the situation developed to full scale protest in the Hawaasa town and witnesses have said the town was forced to pass under huge stress the whole day.

The Oromo students and the Oromo intellectuals are the front runners in raising the quest of the people for freedom and self determination, but the TPLF regards them as enemy and is always hunting them from Universities and their work places without any proof of wrongdoing.

Even though the numbers are much higher the following intellectuals and professional are picked from their work place blaming them of organizing Qeerroo movements. These are

5. Jamaal Ibrahim (Employee of Ministry of Agriculture, Bale zone, Gobbaa Town)

With related news, it is to be recalled that the TPLF right hand man in Oromiya, Junedin Saddoo have fired 3 Adama University Lecturers after letting them to be physically assaulted by its cadres, alleging them of organize the popular movement of Qeerroo. Until today, the whereabouts of Taye Fufaa is still unknown.
