Uprising against oppression continuous; Oromian Flag signposted in various towns of Wollagga region.


(Qerroo News, Najjoo, June 01-2011). Uprising against oppression continued in West Wollegga towns of Nadjo, Jarso and Babbo. The uprising mobilised people in these towns were achieved remarkable victory that on other hand extremely frustrated the Woyane government authorities in the region.

The Nadjo town residents of county 01, 02, 03 and 04 abide by Oromo Youth Movement for Freedom and Democracy call rioted against the government on May 23rd 2011. On the day people of the town rallied from every corner of the town, directed to the Woyane government authority offices, chucked down the government’s flag that broadly considered as the symbol of tyranny, and replaced by the Oromian flag, which well respected among the Oromo people as the symbol of freedom, for one day.

According to Qerro’s news source, in addition to raising up the Oromian flag the rally has been singing a revolutionary rhymes of ‘Ebbisa Addunya’, that advocates for freedom, by striking the slogan that advances the OLF (Oromo Liberation Front) and ‘Get Up Qerroo’ messages. Until the heavily armed Federal forces convoyed to the area to contain the rally became beyond control of the government authorities.

In similar cause, in Jarso district (Wollagga), the Youth Movement for Freedom and Democracy, ‘Qerroo’ wing disposed of the government’s flag and replaced by the Oromian flag. No one had become brave enough to bring the flag down for a couple of days, until the Federal armed forces reinvaded the town.

Similarly, Qerroo news reported form adjacent district of Babbo has revealed that demonstration lobbied by the government authorities in favour if Blue Nile irrigation project advancement altered to violence. Accordingly the demonstration wrecked the government flag and evacuated the government authorities from the town.

Due to communication network channel disruption by the government reporters experienced difficulties to deliver the news to the public arena quickly as it to be practicable.
