We are pleased to announce that the official logo for the Ethiopian Youth Movement is now ready for use. All media sources may use this logo of the movement for the press release that we recently posted and for any of our future press releases and news of activities. The Ethiopian Youth Movement is grateful to have the unreserved and continuous support of civic groups, prominent Ethiopians, media groups, political parties and all Ethiopians. The mission of the Ethiopian Youth Movement is the ultimate removal of the dictatorial regime through peaceful uprising and creating a successful democratic transition in Ethiopia by pressuring the opposition forces. It is an action-oriented movement that does not aspire to hold a political office. We are a loosely organized youth group that circumferences individual activists, civic group supporters and youth wings of the opposition parties/groups that concede with our missions and values, all with the goal of achieving unity of communication and efficiency of actions. The groups involved in this movement have joined due to all these shared goals. It is important to note that being part of this movement does not in any way entail that any of the component groups have changed or must change their own separate mandates and organizational structures. This is simply the alliance of various forces for the completion of a shared mission. Any movement that does not centre the Ethiopian youth is deemed to fail as youth compromise the majority of the population in Ethiopia, thus the importance of this group. If one examines the struggle against the current regime in the past 20 years, it becomes evident that the missing link to success has been the absence of an action oriented youth group. Many ideas and strategies were often put on paper and discussed during this long struggle but the movements have lacked dedicated foot soldiers who would execute them. The Ethiopian Youth movement provides the active effort and participation of Ethiopian youth as the missing piece of the puzzle needed for the success of long needed change in the country. Absolutely! Slowly but surely the winning strategy is emerging after 20 PAINFUL long years of being kept divided and separately crushed deep down to the bones and to the souls. WHAT FOR? ):
The fact that humans can learn from their mistakes, trials and errors, as well as from the victory of others (Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, etc.) is an amazing positive experience that inspires and brings about victory and justice for all.
We need to focus on the one, and the only one tyrannical impoverishing corrupt dictatorship of the tplf elites minority that have reduced the country and the good people in to one of the world’s most wretched and shameful entities in this 21st century era.
If we continue along such positive road maps, looking at the big pictures and the common good for all, I am 100% sure that we will soon by our own activities bring about genuine democracy, sustainable development, good governance in order to turn that country and that beautiful region to the true paradise on earth and mother of all the well-beings for all.
