Qeerroo Report, Northern Shoa, December 22, 2011

At least 66 Oromo students and other peaceful civilians of Southeastern Shoa zone, Wonchi County [Woreda] have been detained by the TPLF-Ethiopian regime under the pretext that the students may have been involved in the popular resistance going on in the area. Among those arrested the names of 25 individuals which leaked from the jail and received by Qeerroo news are given below.

4. Tsehay Kumsa, 9^th grade
5. Abbaba Warqine,  9^th grade
6. Dajane Turuna,  12^th grade
7. Gennet Dirriba, 8^th grade
8. Tseggaye Asfawu, 9^th grade
9. Biranu Damisse, 10^th grade
10. Tafarra Hayilu, 9^th grade
11. Ayyantu Waquma, 6^th grade
12. Malkamu Dassaleny, 9^th grade
13. Wandu Lencho, 12^th grade
14. Shifarra Tasfaye, 9^th grade
15. Magartu Taddasa, 9^th grade
16. Siddisee Shumama, 9^th grade
17. Yadata Walde, 10^th grade
18. Gashaw Alamu, 10^th grade
19. Wandu Hasen, 9^th grade

20. Ejjigayyo Qabbanessa, 9^th grade

21. Gulumma Tolera, 9^th grade

22. Shawul Wolde-Rufa’el, Diploma graduate, age 42

23. Balacho Asmara, 9^th grade

24. Tolera Badhadha, elderly, age 70+

25. Takkala Badhadha, 9^th grade

Moreover, an Amharic copy containing the names of 41 other Oromo students and citizens arrested from the same area is shown below. This copy is obtained from the prison house of the area and we publish the list as it is.
